Applying for credit card to put more trust in God...
Some say Americans are a religious nation above all... Well, probably. But their spiritual interests go perfectly well with secular everyday business. Today their spirituals get paid through credit card applications from big and renowned credit card companies like American Express, Bank of America and Discover.
And it is no surprise as credit card has become our permanent business partner and is used to make financial transactions any place, any time. Almost 70% of US citizens are identified as cashless for they carry credit cards and almost no actual money about them. At the same time, quite a portion of credit consumers are frequent church goers.
Conclusion? There’s a chance that a big number of mass-attending Catholics won’t find cash in their pockets one day to make a regular donation and pay their pledges. Each of us have had times when we have less than expected money in our wallets and if it happens in church, the church is very likely to lose much of the potential revenue.
This instability of making revenues and raising funds, together with the Internal Revenue Service demands to show receipts, has caused the need for the introduction of credit cards to use instead of cash.
So, isn’t it great news for religious credit card holders? Are you the one? Then you can apply for best credit cards like gasoline credit cards (if you like to save on gasoline), frequent flyer cards (if you travel a lot and want to cut expenses) or credit cards with cash back and use them to prove your godliness! Maybe it does sound low but credit cards are reality as well as the church.
Why not keep up relations with the church and contact with God through up-to-dated facilities? Some people acknowledge that donating with credit cards in place of pulling your dearest cash out of pockets is not that painful in fact even if such an act is dictated by your love and devotion to God.
What’s more, it is not only for the convenience of the churchgoers and more guaranteed revenues for the institutions themselves that the new practices are being offered but also for the purpose to co-ordinate what customers say they pay and what churches actually receive.
The last reason has caused sort of anxiety among religious societies as along with the potential stability of raising funds and attracting more customers used to going cashless, there is a requirement to pay a 4% fee when credit cards are being used.
Whether the 4% fees going to nullify or reduce the portion of the revenues coming from donation is not yet clear but many think that the IRS practices won’t have significant effect on church’s funds.
There is a concern of a different nature, though. When you are attending the Mass in the unity of others like you, driven by the common aim of worship, placing your money on the plate all together, there is a great stimuli to do the same next time.
When it comes to electronic payment and automated deduction, it’s just like a regular purchase at a shop which you may opt not to do at all. Thus, maybe not much time will pass when you’ll find yourself reluctant to make a next donation.
There is something to think of, really. The practice of paying with credit cards in churches is sure to be introduced and it has become the concern of the religious organizations to think of the ways to preserve and even to raise the number of their regular parishioners.

Most credit tips say that the sooner you pay off your credit card balance - the less money you will lose on interest. On-time payments will favorably bound back on your credit score and payment history. This kind of advice is what we all are used to hear and read on the Web, in financial magazines, in tips columns. But does this financial behavior model really have a positive effect on your FICO score and credit report?
How can it be questioned, you ask? A perfectly disciplined plastic owner that pays off his or her balance before a lender could say Jack Robinson. Is not it any creditor's dream? No, it is not always so. Let's find out why a lender would want a different behavior model from a borrower and when this kind of paying down debts can weigh heavily against a cardholder.

Active credit card use is a sign of a society with well-developed market relationships. More and more people get involved in buying goods and services with plastics. Using virtual funds to make real purchases is very convenient. But this extended buying power has led Americans to a dangerous trend. Over 40% of American households, according to the USA Federal Reserve statistics, spend more money than they make.
In the average, every American of these 40% spends $1.2 per every $1 he or she earns. Plastics have changed people's spending habits. These plastic devices allow and encourage people to spend more and more money. Around 18% of all purchases made by Americans involve credit card use. About 24% of the purchases are made with other types of plastics.

If you are determined to eliminate your credit card debts and you have good credit, getting a balance transfer card is a good idea. You can shift your credit card balances with high interest rate to a card with much lower rate or 0% APR at all. But there is one thing that can reduce your profit from this kind of a deal. It is balance transfer fee.
Most balance transfer cards come with a fee for a transfer. Not long ago you could easily find a plastic for balance transfers with no fee. However, due to the credit card market crisis and economy slowdown, lenders have pulled these deals from the market. And now it is rather hard for a customer to find a balance transfer card that comes with no fee. But there are some ways to negotiate a better balance transfer deal.
